I agree.
While I appreciate the President’s preference for thoughtful analysis and listening to all viewpoints, I think it’s past time for a decision to be made and for the appointee to begin the hard work of unifying our approach to cyber defense, both nationally and internationally.
UPDATE: Senator Rockefeller is pushing for a full committee vote this month on the revised Rockefeller Snowe cyber security bill, which would, among other things, create an Office of the National Cybersecurity Adviser within the Executive Office of the President as well as an advisory panel of experts from industry, academia and nonprofits.
Perhaps this will help the President announce his pick sooner rather than later.
