This is a quick and informal update on what’s happening on this effort five days after I announced it. We’ve received over 100 volunteers ranging from senior executives at major technology corporations to analysts working in the Intelligence Community to hackers from a variety of countries. Unfortunately, we can’t use everyone so please don’t be offended if I haven’t contacted you. The Gray Goose Twitter alias is still up but I won’t be approving any more new applicants. More details will be released about the technology being used in a couple of weeks. Unlike traditional software development, this is more of an agile process – we’re learning and innovating as we go. One thing that’s apparent even now at this very early stage is the impressive quality of resources and talent that’s being offered for this project. I’m so excited to see how it will all come together, let alone what insight the results will yield.
